Miramar Tree Service does hurricane tree cleanup before and after the storm. In South Florida, hurricane season is every year, and the trees that were not prepped before the storm are the ones that end up on roofs, cars, and fences after it. We do the prep work before a storm and the full cleanup after one. Both matter, and we do both.
Before a hurricane, the work is prevention. We trim the heavy limbs off the canopy, cut back the dead fronds on the palms, and take down the dead and leaning trees that are guaranteed to come down in a major wind. A tree handled before the storm is regular work at regular rates. The same tree on your roof after the storm is emergency work at emergency rates. Prepping ahead is the cheaper call every time.
After a hurricane, the work is cleanup. Downed trees, split limbs, uprooted palms, and a yard buried in branches and fronds. We come in with the crew and the equipment and clear it. We cut up the downed trees, chip the brush, haul off the wood, and grind the stumps. A property that was buried in storm debris gets cleared and cleaned, ready to move on.
Hurricane cleanup is bigger than a normal job because a storm hits the whole area at once. We prioritize the calls where a tree is on a structure or blocking access, then work through the rest. We are honest about the timeline when the whole region is calling at once, and we get to every property as fast as we can. We do not disappear on you after the first visit if the job needs more than one trip.
We also handle the hanging limbs and the failed trees that the storm left standing but ready to fall. A limb cracked but not yet down is a widowmaker, and a tree uprooted partway is a tree that will finish falling in the next wind. We bring those down safely as part of the cleanup so you are not waiting for the next storm to finish what the last one started. Those are the most dangerous pieces on the property after a storm.
The debris hauling is the part that overwhelms people after a hurricane. A big storm can turn a clean yard into a pile of wood and brush taller than a person, and there is nowhere to put it. We bring the trucks and the chipper and we move it all off the property. We sort the wood from the brush, chip what we can, and haul the rest. When we leave, the yard is clear, not just cut up.
If a hurricane has come through and your property needs tree cleanup, call us or request a free quote. We come out, assess the damage, and give you a written estimate at no charge and with no obligation. And if the season is coming, call us before the storm to get the trees prepped.
