Miramar Tree Service plants trees for homeowners who want shade, privacy, or just a better looking yard. After a removal, a lot of people want to put something back in the spot, and we help them pick the right tree and get it in the ground the right way so it actually lives and grows.
The right tree in the right spot is the whole game. A tree that grows too big for the space ends up over the house or the power line in ten years, and then it has to come down. We help you pick a species that fits the spot at maturity, with the right height, the right root habit, and the right wind tolerance for South Florida. Picking the wrong tree is how you end up paying for a removal later.
Native and wind tolerant species are what we lean on. Live oak, gumbo limbo, and certain palms hold up well in storms and do not shed heavy limbs the way soft wooded trees do. We avoid planting the fast soft growers too close to a house, because they get big fast and come apart in wind. We will tell you honestly what works and what does not for your specific spot.
Planting the right way matters for whether the tree lives. We dig a hole the right width and depth, set the root ball so the flare is above grade, backfill with the native soil, and water it in. We do not bury the trunk or pile mulch against the bark, because both of those rot the tree at the base. A tree planted wrong is a tree that fails in a few years, and we see it all the time.
We also handle the stump grinding and site prep if there was a tree in the spot before. You cannot plant a new tree into an old stump, so we grind the stump out, backfill, and get the ground ready for the new one. That full sequence, removal to replanting, is something we do start to finish, so you are not coordinating two crews for one spot.
After the planting, we talk through the establishment period with you. The first few months are when a new tree lives or dies, and that comes down to watering. We tell you how often to water, how deep, and how to tell when the tree has taken hold. A tree that gets the right water in its first season sets roots and takes care of itself after that. One that does not, dies, and you start over.
We also stake the tree if it needs it. A young tree in an exposed spot can wind rock before its roots grab hold, and a loose tree in the ground is a tree that fails to establish. We stake it the right way, loose enough that the tree moves a little and builds strength, but tight enough that it does not lean. We come back and remove the stakes once the tree has anchored, usually after the first storm season passes, so the stakes do not girdle the trunk.
If you want a tree planted, or you want to replace one that came down, call us or request a free quote. We come out, look at the spot, and give you a written estimate at no charge and with no obligation.
