Miramar Tree Service trims trees and limbs that have grown over a property line. This is one of the most common calls we get in Miramar. A tree on your property, or your neighbor's, drops limbs and leaves across the fence, blocks the light, or starts growing into your screen enclosure or roof. We trim it back to the line, clean and legal.
The common situation is a big tree near the fence that has grown over the years until half its canopy is hanging over your yard. It drops leaves and branches on your lawn, it shades out your garden, and in a storm those overhanging limbs are the ones that come down on your property. Trimming them back to the property line is the fix, and it is your right to cut what is over your side.
We trim back to the line, not past it. We cut the overhanging limbs cleanly back to the property boundary, leaving the tree healthy and the part on the other side untouched. The goal is to get your yard and your airspace back without starting a war with the neighbor. We do the work neatly so it looks intentional, not like someone hacked at it. A clean cut at the line is barely noticeable from either side.
When the tree is on your property and growing into the neighbor's yard, we handle that too. We trim it back off their fence, their roof, or their pool cage, and we clean up on both sides. A lot of these calls come from both neighbors agreeing the tree needs to be cut back, and we just do the work. When everyone agrees, it is the easiest job we do.
We clean up and haul off everything we cut, on your side of the line. Limbs and brush get chipped or loaded and hauled away, so you are not left with a pile of branches along the fence. Full cleanup is included, and we are careful about what falls and where, since there is usually a fence or a structure right under the work. We protect the fence and anything under the canopy before we start cutting.
There is a right way to handle the neighbor side of this. We do not go onto the neighbor's property without permission, and we do not cut anything on their side of the line unless they have agreed. If the tree is theirs and the limbs are over your yard, we trim what is on your side and leave the rest. If you want more than that, it is a conversation with the neighbor, and we can tell you exactly where the line falls so that conversation is clear.
In most cases, the cleanest answer is to talk to the neighbor first. A lot of the time they have been meaning to trim it too and they are glad you brought it up, and we end up doing the work for both properties at once. When everyone agrees, the job is simple and there are no hard feelings. We have done enough of these to know how to keep it smooth, and we can help you coordinate if the neighbor is involved.
